I have seen people bribing at Passport office
I went to the passport office with my friend in 2008. It was 4 am in the morning and we knew we had to reach early to get started in the line. We were surprised to see that there where around 30-35 people before us. 'Must be eager' I thought and joined the line.
the office starts at 7:30 am. slowly line grew and it was huge by 7 am. then some people paid around Rs. 1000-1500/- to the goons there to join the line. i wondered why they were paying. I figured out that the people who came before us were not applicants but part of goons who were replaced with people who bribed. that was one of the most horrific first-hand incidents I've seen in Corruption. I could only stop one person to join the line before me but was helpless against many others who joined later.
