It wasn't my fault but still i chose to pay the fine instead of paying bribe

Reported on April 27, 2016 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #102156

Me and my family went out for shopping and we parked our two vehicles in malleshwaram 8th cross. when we came back we couldn't find one of our vehicle and we got to know that the police had taken our vehicle and when we went to the station we spoke to the private contractor, who was appointed by the police and he asked us to pay Rs. 100 and when we started arguing that it wasn't parked in no parking area and we had parked two vehicles next to each other, they had taken only one vehicle and when we asked for the evidence, he asked us to talk to the police officer. we approached the police officer and asked him to show the photograph of the vehicle which they take before seizing the vehicle which is an evidence to prove that it was in no parking area. The officer made us to wait for almost one hour and didn't show the photograph instead he threatened us to send the vehicle to the court and since it was late night we paid the actual fine of Rs. 300 and collected the receipt.
