Made me to feel bad about coming to India
I visited my family in Hyderabad, Telangana after long time. Due to going after long time, I purchased gifts for my family. For the gifts which I bought, I have to pay approximately INR 25,000 customs import tax but the baggage scanning employee asked me to pay INR 10,000 bribe and leave airport without filling even customs form. Two people gave me some time to withdraw cash and give it to them.
After collecting my check in baggage, I refused to pay INR 10,000. During argument with these two employees, I had customs commissioner came out of his office. When this two employees saw the customs commissioner, they changed whole story. Initially, they asked me the bribe and they made new story as, I offered them bribe. All customs employees became together and scared me by saying that "I WILL BE ARRESTED FOR TRYING TO BRIBE CUSTOMS OFFICERS" and "BLACKLISTED".
I have no words to say... I am scared of my whole future. After begging that customs commissioner, he told me to pay INR 25,000 customs and leave the airport. Customs commissioner was so kind and listened my requests.
However, except that customs commissioner, everyone else used very ABUSIVE and THREATENING language over me. One of that baggage scanning officer came on to me to beat.
No customs officer had uniform/picture id's on them. I felt really bad about situation in India and from now; I prefer to have voice recorder during customs clearance in my pocket and report it to media with proofs.
HO GOD, PLEASE SAVE INDIA FROM THIS BUNCH OF CORRUPTED OFFICERS.
