Passport Applicants Harassed by demanding irrelevant documents
Dear Sir/Madam,
I applied for reissue of my Passport at Passport Seva Kendra, Lalbag, Bangalore on 19/04/2016.
Regional Passport office initiated and sought Police verification report from VIDYARANYAPURA police station on 20/04/2016 to process my Passport application.
My File No- BN 1079296552516
I had been to the station so far twice to present myself to followup. Today I was asked produce the following documents.
1 old Passport Copy
2. Complete copy of the Bank statement.
3. Aadhar Card copy
4. Voter ID copy.
5 Latest property tax paid receipt.
6. Copy of the Sale deed of the Apartment.
These documents are sought from the applicants to fleece money. People are being forced to part with Rs500 to Rs 1,000/-
I fight corrupt officials. I have decided not to pay even a single rupee to get my Police verification report.
