Policemen demands 200 Rs to let go Ciggerate smoking in public place

Context: I was smoking
Location: in front of Yeshwantpur Railway Station (Platform 1 entrance)

Details: 2 constables, 1 Sub Inspector, with their Hoysala Jeep parked in front of Railway station demanded 200 Rs. since I was smoking on the road (not within Railway station premises). When I told them I was sorry and pay the fine, they demanded Rs. 200. I said if they give me a receipt, I would pay the fine amount officially. They were not ready to give the receipt and asked me to accompany the police station. At that point in time, I called someone in the Army and he had a word with the constable. Only when he realized I had connect with the Army, he let me go without taking money
