Property Sale Registration through GPA

Today I have gone to the subregistrar office, basavangudi with the sale deed and the seller general GPA, for property registration. But the personnel at the office resisted to take it up as the GPA is a general GPA for all the properties and it does not mention this particular property. As per the advocate it is acceptable, and also the same GPA was used to buy the same property. I dont want to pay the bribe and get it registered, but I think I will be forced to do so. It is very sad that I MAY have to pay the bribe when the entire country is fighting against it.
