Pushed my scooter by hand in one way in reverse direction.

Reported on March 15, 2011 from Nagpur , Maharashtra  ι Report #32382

I had to go to Bangalore and my train was at 1330 hrs. I had to do some small purchases. At about 10:00 hrs, I went to Golchha Marg, ********** by my scooter via ONE way and after purchases I pushed my scooter by hand as reverse driving was not allowed. After coming to main road (which is a normal road), I stopped, wiped out perspiration from my face and after a while kick-started my scooter. At this point a Traffic police sub-inspector, who was perhaps observing and waiting to pounce on me, whisled and called a traffic policeman and handed over my case to him. The policeman tried some negotiations but as I had not broken any rule, I refuse to pay personal money to him. He pretended to issue a challan. I told him to issue the challan (a demand note for fine) as I did not want to pay bribe money. I took the challan from him and immediately went to the Traffic Police office near Ajab Bangala and paid the fine of Rs 100/- for no fault of mine. In the process I had to skip my lunch and had to rush to Railway station to catch the train.
