Surprisingly No Bribe was sought!
I'm Ashok Nayak, a Retired Bank employee. I had been RTO, Jnanabharati, Bangalore to renew my driving licence on 21.01.2014. I, guided by the internet, had carried all the required documents, I waited near the empty enquiery counter, I approached Mr. Ravi (Designation unknown to me) to know what was to be done and whom to approach. He directed me to approach Ms. Meera, ARTO, at the basement of the building. She in turn, immediately attended me and briefed the procedures to be followed. As per her guidance I got her the receipt after paying the amount of Rs.250/- in the specified counter. Biometric process was completed within 5 minutes. In short all the formalities were completed within 10 minutes and I left the premises. I got the renewed licence, home delivered within their specified time. I felt so much comfortable and wish all works in all government departments move like this.
