Was charged Rs 500/- for driving against the one way. The violation was a 50 m driving at speed of 20 km/hr against one way from a road divider to reach a petrol pump on Bannerghata road. I agreed to my violation and was ready to pay the Rs 100 fine, but the cop accused me of dangerous driving, and also threatened me to withheld my car and then appear in court next day to get it released. He decided to check my DL, insurance, PUC - which was all in order. I decided to pay up Rs 500/- instead of offering bribe. Though the officer never asked for any money directly but I believe unnecessary threatening and stating a higher fine than stipulated by the govt. was a tactic
