I had traveled to US on Jet Airways flight from Kolkata on student visa....Initially they too gave me some trouble....but I had a copy of the excess baggage allowance for student from their website along with the allowance issued from the Jet Airways office in Kolkata....ultimately they accepted their fault and didn't charge a single penny.....
