Was asked to pay a bribe of 300 as 'fee' to process the file
I was asked to pay 300 for my file for the passport verification. I don't know if this is valid fees but I checked with others and they said that some paid and some didn't. This happened in the BIbvewadi police station at around 2pm. I do not know the name of the officer asking for the money. I said that my mother's verification is also pending and she will return from outstation on Wednesday and he can ask her. He told me to inform my mother that he would need 300 (mine) + 300 (mother's) = 600 Rs for processing. Who was on-duty today at the station can be easily gathered. I am concerned if he would process the file or not for both of us.
