Raghu, I have one question/suggstion. Majority of people bribe at registration, khata transfer at BDA and BBMP. Hoe about appointing service minded people at all the above mentioned departments. Of course these persons has be trained and equipped to deal with those works at that office. Any boby can approach these guys and can get the work done by paying some prescribed servcie charges. The charges are only to maintain the NGO who does this work.But we need to see that this system is non corrupt.- Dayanand

Dear Raghu, thank you for this helpfull site ! I approached the BESCOM office in Anekal today to get the name of my wife corrected on the bill. At the same time I made a written request to add my name on the bill or mention Mr & Mrs. To this the agent replied that the meter could be on only name, even though I produced proof of property ownership. Earlier I lived in Europe and am used to the bill bearing the name of the couple. Above all, I need such a document as address proof and avoid future administrative hassles in case of the death of any one of us. Could you please advise me on this particular subject.
