Hi,

I am resident and owner of a flat in Dwarka, New Delhi. Our society has recently cleared DDA's ground rent dues and we are eligible to apply for Conversion of our flats to Freehold now.

A couple of my neighbors have applied for the same using agents who charge INR 20-25 k for the process, everybody is also suggesting that since there is rampant corruption in DDA, it is impossible to get the work done without an agent or without paying bribe there.

However I am making an attempt to go ahead without any agent and avoid paying any bribe. I have taken help from the people already applied, referred DDA's website and making sure to have all documents ready in completion. The DDA website also has online payment facility through which I have paid conversion charges. However as with any govt site, the information about process in unstructured and not very clear on the DDA website.

I am looking for further guidance from IPB.com on any further information they can share about the process so that I will take care and ensure to be 100% complete in my approach and hence push back any demand for bribe
