I am moving to Navi Mumbai on a temporary basis and am planning to bring my car (HONDA City, purchased in April 2014) which is registered in Uttar Pradesh. As far as I know, if I stay in Navi Mumbai for less than 12 months then I only need to pay the road tax and can keep my UP registration. I understand that the road tax value is 9 %.
I wanted to know about how the depreciated value of my car calculated on which 9% road tax is applicable? The invoice value of the car is 9.55 lakhs (including VAT and all charges for UP).
Would really appreciate some help...
