There is absolutely no need for you to pay any official a bribe for obtaining your tax refund. In case your refund is of below Rs. 1 lakh value, then you will get the refund automatically, In other cases also, in case the official demands a bribe, please collect evidence against the individual and file a complaint with a senior official as well as with the Central Vigilance Commission, at its website 'vigeye.com'

I have a tax refund pending for 2 years apprpox. I have been told that i'll have to pay a percentage of this refund amount to the official at the IT Dept in order for him to release the payment. This is the only way to do it apparently. How do i go about getting this long overdue refund without bribing them? Thanks Nirmal
