Please meet the Joint Commissioner in the RTO office concerned. Please also carry your birth certificate or your school certificate, which is proof of your age. I am sure that with this, your licence can be renewed.

In July 2002, I got issued Karnataka DL valid till 25-05-2010, clubbing my Motorcycle DL issued by RTO-Secunderabad (1994) and Motor Vehicle DL issued by RTO-Dehradun (1997). To renew my DL I have submitted my application surrendering my old DL. Today when I went to check status, they said that I need to apply for fresh DL. They said as per my application and surrendered Karnataka DL, it was found that DL by RTO-Dehradun is issued in 1990 which makes me underage (DOB 1974). Unfortunately I have no proof to say that it is a typo error by RTO-Koramangala. This is because I have got the Motor Vehicle DL from RTO-Dehradun in April 1997. What should I do?
