Reported on October 13, 2013 from Thane , Maharashtra  ι Report #36755

My PF account has been active for almost 18 years now. I have a few questions:
- If I leave my job for personal reasons at 49 years of age what is the process, implications (tax wise, pension component wise etc.)
- How much time would it take before I get the money into my account once I apply after 2 months?
- Is the PF money I receive on withdrawal, taxable?
- There is some money that goes into some EPF bucket (not sure what %age). What happens to that money when I withdraw from PF at age 49 when I leave the job?
- Wont I be eligible for pension once I withdraw at this age?
- If eligible for pension, what would be the process, how much (Calculation) would I get, would it be monthly?
- What, according to experience, are the best avenues to secure the PF money I receive in my account
- After leaving job and if I do something of my own is it possible to keep the PF account 'Active' by contributing to it on my own?
