Teachers and employees of MLSM College Sundernagar (HP) have been contributing @12% of total salary in the Employees’ Pension Scheme-95 since its inception. Employer of the college is also making equal contribution, out of which 8.33% goes as pension fund. Employees retired prior to May 2014 are getting pension on higher wedges as per employee’s pension scheme 95.
Now, office of the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Shimla is not settling the pension claims of the Employees on the plea that the Employees have not exercised the fresh option to continue in the scheme. However the Regional office at Shimla never informed or instructed the employees or employer about this option.
Please inform under RTI act whether it was not the duty of the Regional Office at Shimla to seek fresh option.
What action will be taken by the office of the Central Employees Provident Fund Commissioner Delhi, in the interest of the employees who are suffering without any fault and are in deep trouble.
