Thank you so much for the information. I would be very grateful if you could answer my query. I have met two policemen without much success. They seem ignorant and are not being helpful.

Please tell me whether it would be helpful to lodge a police complaint if I am not currently near the place where my phone was stolen? I live in Punjab and had my phone stolen while I was in Delhi. Should I lodge a missing report here because I won't be visiting Delhi in the next 10 days. And whether a remote FIR or someone filing a FIR on my behalf is possible?
