To-day on 31.12.2016, I, personally along with my wife visited the police station (specl. br.) for police verification in regard to our new pass port applied and furnished completely at Passport Office, Kolkata on 19th Dec.2016. To the concern P.O. we supplied all the documents he asked for. After completing all the formalities he asked for rupees one thousand out of which we compelled to hand over rupees eight hundred as he suggested it is a normal procedure to all to give bribe as the name of police verification, otherwise he will send adverse report. Is it true?
It gave me deep pain as I am a lawful citizen (senior) of India who spent his whole life honestly.
Now, let me suggest to whom I will lodge my complaint to get the fruitful result and stop the illegal procedure or the corruption in the name of Police Verification?
