The cop who smiled
I jumped a signal - while taking a U turn- and got caught by a traffic policemen.
He smiled. Asked for my license. Filled out a parchi and asked me to go and collect it from the policestation in the morning.
He told me that people like me shouldn't jump signals (in my defense i didn't know there was a signal there).
Not once - in either words or action or body language did he indicate that he wanted to be bribed.
I haven't so far ... and I wasn't about to start on that day.
I went a few days later to collect my license. Paid my fine. got my receipt.
