Election id card
I made it a point to register myself for the elections to change the government in TN.I am happy my vote made a difference . The process of last minute submission of forms was easy and I even got my id delivered at home..many others did not !!
Subsequently, when I wanted to collect the ID card, I was told that these will be distributed on preannounced dates.However, the Election commissioner's office told me on phone that I could still try with the corporation office .
I went there to ********** an array of people in various stages of non work . One young girl heard me out and told me the rule.
I pointed out that I needed this for my passport verification. She promptly opened a storage cabinet, went through packets of ready id cards , found mine and gave it to me !!! So,one can see the level of red tapism that haunts this country and why we have to bribe .IT IS THE RULES,STUPID!!!
She did not ask me for anything, but if I has offered, she may have happily accepted !!!
