An honest offical
I am prompted to write this incident after reading so many bribe stories on passport verification. When I had applied for passport, almost 3 years back, the police had come to my home for verification. Unfortunately, no one was at home that day. Our neghibours informed that we are all working and would be availabe on Saturday and sunday. All my friends told that i landed in a mess and now i have to pay something to continue the process. However, The police official had come again on Saturday for verification. They spoke with us and left without asking for anything and I got my passport without any troubles. That day I was so happy for not having to pay anything. But, today I am lot more happier, after reading all the experiences related to passport and salute the officer who had come to my home that day. I wish we had more officials like him in our system.
