HSR Layout BDA Office
People scared me that I have to bribe my way through when we started construction of our house at HSR Layout. Honestly I did not have to pay a bribe at all at ANY point. I got my Khata also without paying any money, I just followed the process and gave all documents required, I had to go to HSR BDA office 3-4 times BUT they NEVER asked me to pay. The even offered me breakfast and coffee one day. I was very clear that I will NEVER pay a bribe and just went by the rule and skipped NO process. I also wish if BESCOM & BWSSB remove these mandatory contractors (plumbers and electricians) when we apply for a new connection, I realised that they try to make a fast buck in the name of BESCOM or BWSSB. The ONLY rule to get work done is NOT to bend rules or take a short-cut or try to get it fast or to skip the process. I NEVER in my life paid a bribe be it my DL or Passport or House construction. If Govt makes all the services online or through an electronic channel removing the middle man we will get be able to get any service without paying bribe. We end-up paying bribe either because we do not know the process or we enter govt office with a mindset or we want it real fast.
