I bought office stationary for HAL police station.
I applied for passport renewal sometime in the year 2009. I got an SMS from HAL police station asking to me come over there with some documents. I visited the police station and submitted all documents and the whole interaction was very pleasant. In the end, the police person asked me to buy some white paper and pens for them (During my visit I had to write something in white paper and it was quite difficult to find white paper there). I purchased a quire of paper and a packet of pen and gave it there. I am not sure whether this is right or wrong, I was actually quite happy to do it. I certainly don't consider it as a bribe.
