I paid bribe to get my marriage registration done
1993, i was on a short visit to kochi. i borrowed my brother's bike, and was on way to alwaye. after palarivattom towards edapalli, there was some check up by police party. i was stopped on the way and pointed out that the bike did not have licence plate fixed at the front. my brother forgot to mention and i did not notice. However, this officer politely told me that i should pay a fine for this violation. i agreed and he collected 50 Rs. and issued a due reciept for the same. I asked him whether i will have trouble elsewhere or on returning. He informed me that I have been alotted 7 days time to fix the fault and till that time i need to produce the reciept issued if confronted. Kudos to the honesty of the officer. he was calm and so was I totally comfortable. He performed his duty well and neat.
