Least said "Pleasant surprise "
I shifted to Bangalore in 2009 on job, and I got my bike too.
I went to RTO, BDA office, Koramangala just to give a try first, to know the process. Enroute I was persisted by touts who gave me a form to fill and the rest he will take care. I dint relent and enquired in Help desk.
I was provided with all information in detail. Started with a small fee to get clearance for 'unstolen vehicle' then on was asked to give NOC, registration fee, Add proof, ID proof, insurance, pollution sticker etc and made a submission next day.
After a week or two, I enquired again, I was asked to get clearance from Breakinspector for vehicle. I went and he didnt bother to look at my vehicle, as I was not in the favoured list of touts there. I came back next day, he made me to wait and tested all other L boards etc... Finally when he was going for Lunch, he asked me drop him at a nearby place and wanted me to come post Lunch.
I persisted with him and got clerance after a day. Then after two weeks wait, I got my RC book with Karnataka registration.
While giving the RC book also, none asked for any bribe.
In the entire process, except the break inspector none were expecting money from me.
I am very happy with this pleasant experience at Bangalore.
They wanted every document correctly but didnt demand money.
Sometimes, we stumble upon such honest government employees also.
