Minjur Government department
I came across an extremely honest and upright person in Chennai Minjur government office. I needed to get a clarification if any government notification is pending for the acquisition of land for road widening on chennai thiruvallur highway. I went NHAI who were helpful, but told I should go to the concerned collector's office, of PWD. I went to PWD Chepauk, however, they told that they donot deal with such matters. I went to Tahsildar's office at Ambattur, many many times, and finally went to the Tahsildar herself. She asked her PA to attend the matter. The PA asked me to go to Minjur office. I went to Minjur office. This whole matter took more than an year. At the Minjur office, the person dealing with such matters was very courteous. He told he needs to check up old records of about 30 or 40 years. I was holding by breath. He told that he does not take any speed money and will give me a reply in about ten days time. True to his word, I received a reply from the government in ten days, by registered post. Thereafter I received another copy of the letter by ordinary post. This extraordinary individual helped me regain my ********** in India. I pray for his health and prosperity.
