No bribe for wrong parking
On 22 October, I wrongly parked my car in a no parking area on Museum Road (honestly, I did not see the sign, which was turned the other way). When I returned to the car, the wheel was locked and there was a sign on my windscreen stating that I had parked my car wrongly and asking me to call a particular number. When I did, a polite voice answered me and within 5 minutes, two traffic policemen came to the spot. One of them immediately released my car, while the other collected the fine of Rs. 200 and gave me a receipt for it from a hand held machine. There was not even the hint of paying a bribe.
