Paid Bribe for entry in Compulsory left
Location: Richmond Town, Johnson Market, Bangalore.( also Bangalore's adda for Traffic Police bribery)
I was force to violate Compulsory left Sign Since the U-turn are so long way from our destination.
So i chose to go along with other path where people are normally found traversing through the same path.
But unfortunately local traffic police caught me and also others who were found travelling through same path(Not "No-way" ) and forced me to pay Rs.100 fine but i refused to pay so he asked for whatever i had. As I was in hurry so he took Rs.50 amount from beneath his receipt-book.
Major Reasons for Bribery:
Bangalore's Traffic police stay away from traffic jam area instead make adda at near by roadside to catch hold of traffic violators as mean to take bribe from them.
Most of the Bangalore's roads have been made One-way and one could hardly find a way for U-turn and you have go for 2-3kms together just to find a U-turn. Where ever we see is Compulsory left,Compulsory right, No U-turn, No Right turn, No left Turn and so on....
How can we citizens find ease to reach our destination ?
Traffic Police Make rules not to clear up the traffic instead just to bribe from people and people don't simply break the rules; they do it only when they don't find any way for their destination- and as matter of fact we need to take shortcuts to reach our destination soon...
What if taking alternate paths clears the traffic while long route augments the jam making nightmare for citizens?
Why are such alternate paths are restricted ?Why is Bangalore Traffic Police such irresponsible for organizing the best route for people so as to decrease the traffic jam in the city?
Why would any citizen violate traffic rules when we have Organized routes in the city such that it makes ease for the people to travel to their destination???
Domlur/old airport road has only 1 U-turn to traverse across the other road and we need travel miles together(around 2km).
Also potholes,humps are the major problems that causes traffic jam in the city.
