Passport in a day with no bribe.
I applied for passport and Police verification was also over. I was expecting it to reach me in few days time and my Director at my office tells me that I had to go to South Korea in 2 days time. The next day, I went to Passport office and requests Regional Passport Officer to issue me soon and he checks the status and tells me that as soon as your Police report reaches our office, we will issue your Passport or you get a letter from Police head/secretary to GOI. Through some acquaintance, I managed to get a letter and the next day I visited RPO again. I was the last guy for RPO to entertain requests of my type and he saw that letter and my Passport processing status and said "you can collect your Passport in the evening". In the evening, the passport officials were preparing passports and I asked them twice or thrice for the status. Looking at my eagerness, they called me inside and prepared my Passport in front of me. I could see their processes and how tiringly they prepared all passports to deliver in time honoring thier Head's word. They gave me my passport arount 9:00 pm without taking a single paise from me. With the Passport in hand in time, I flew to South Korea the next day.
