I had to get a name change effected in the Property Tax documents and approached Mr. Samson, Tax collector of Ward No. 123 (Old Ward 142).
It was a very nice experience dealing with him. He was extremely courteous and helpful from beginning to end. I did not have to do anything at all. Once I handed over the application and the relevant papers he took care of everything. I had to only go to the office in Nungambakkam and collect the document. Everything went off very smoothly, without any hassles.
At a time when one hears of bribes being demanded for every small job, it was a pleasant surprise to meet AN HONEST OFFICER WHO EVEN REFUSED TO TAKE A GIFT AS A TOKEN OF THANKS.
It is, indeed, rare to find such staff in Govt. Depts. these days. THANK YOU MR. SAMSON
