Required a physical fitness certificate from government hospital as one of the documents for travelling to the UK for higher studies. I had udergone a few tests, and was waiting in the long queue for other tests to be done. A 'babu' approached (probably knew by my attire that I was travelling out of India for studies, and would be a perfect candidate for some quick bucks) and asked for 200 Rs for the certificate with stamp. The queue was long, hospital was filthy, damp, staff was dull and arrogant. I took the inevitable decision - paid the bribe and got my certificate within 10 minutes.
