At Delhi airport, being picked up on a visit to India, my mama had sent a car to pick me up, at the airport toll, seeing as how the car was rather expensive car, with temporary plates, the officer thought he could exploit the fact the registaration was temp, me not knowing Indian law and the driver seeming rather scared, i was told the car was not "registered correctly" and that a fee of rs 20,000 could make the problem "go away" unwittingly I paid this, which brings me onto the case of how i brought rs 50,000 into India through another bribe. Once I reached my uncles home, i realised what had happened and that a simple phone call to him could have scared of the officer. How do the poor in this country, that cant afford to pay bribes, get anything done?
