My case was taken up for scrutiny based on certain transaction. The income tax officer carried out a thorough scrutiny of the records and raised many queries. Even though I answered all the queries and submitted the required documents the officer was adamant to pass an order against me and was mentioning that I can go on appeal. I found out that if I go on appeal I would end up paying more. Hence I yielded and paid the demanded bribe of Rs.1 lakh
