Ashamed to say I paid a bribe

It was my mistake that I was not carrying all required documents with me while traveling in my car. I was going on a holiday with my family when traffic cops stopped and asked to check my papers. I was ready to pay the purported total fine amount (which the cop said was Rs 1200/-). I removed the money to pay when the cop himself said he will be happy to let me go with Rs 500 as bribe. Shame on me that I copped out on this offer. I am now extra cautious now with my vehical documents...
