I am blessed with my first child in January, 2011. I am an NRI residing in Gulf. I wanted to apply for my baby's passport since i was there in India. I went to Municipal office to get baby's birth certificate. I told the guys issueing certificate about my case. The guy told me to apply for certificate and collect it after 1 week. I told him that i need to travel to gulf for my job and can not wait for 1 week. he then suggested to get it done through urgent procedure and paying bribe to him. Since I can not wait for 1 week to get the birth certificate and then apply for baby's passport, I paid Rs. 200 as bribe to get my baby's birth certificate.I got the certificate in 10 minutes from the same guy.
