I had approached BBMP office in ********** Nagar/Vignan Nagar on 20th March 2012 and submitted a request for verification of khatha and khata extract of a property I that I am planning to buy. After 6-7 futile trips (each time I was asked to come back on the next Monday) to the BBMP office , on 20th April 2012 the staff at BBMP showed their true color. They demanded that I pay Rs 3000 if I wanted to get the job done. As the verification was necessary at that point I had to pay 2500 to Mr ******* of BBMP office who deals with the khata documentation and registers. I am also told that money also has to be paid to the ARO. I have heard about several instances where in people pay bribe. But I feel really humiliated and condemn the attitude of BBMP (Bribe Bribe Mongering Pigs).
