BBMP SR NAGAR BANGALORE COLLECTING BRIBE

My mother-in- laws property was gifted to my wife. its just 40 x 60, it was given equally to her 6 children, we got 1/6 of it. After the partition deed. We now approached the BBMP for "Bifurcation of Khata". They demand openly Rs.6000/- x 6 = 36000/- to do this job and they say it is a must or they will not accept the application itself.
They say its the charges and nothing can be done about it. There is no way, been fighting against corruption all my life, and at some point I am forced to pay bribe - its a heart breaking issue.
