The incident happened at seawoods area navi mumbai. There is a famous palm beach road and i daily used to go from seawoods to vashi for my office and come back in evening. most of the time traffice police is there, as traffic load is high. To my surprise, normal police, being inspired from the extra earnings of traffic police , started to work like traffic police. being the NRI police chowki nearby the road, and nothing else to do, they started to put baricades at the entering point to seawoods. Now look at their smartness, they do not choose any other side of the road, as traffice is more there and people may not stop and other sides cannot be blocked all over like dis side, so they normally stop two wheelers( dont know the logic behind this), without any violation of traffic ,you wear helmet, you got rcc, insurance, license, oops your PUC got expired. fine is 1000 as per them..its more than licence fine. you beg them saying pump is nearby..u will get that...no matters..one fat cop (almost all are bulky) sits behind you and asked you to drive to police station. and then suggest me like a good friend after 100 meters...why bother so much...give a 100 and it settle over here. so i settled and then went for a foot walk to same place, as my home is nearby. I found that they are very good and professional people as 100 is their fixed rate for anything. they were sharp too in finding any loopholes as noone could move widout making rs. 100 contribution towards their glorious stomach.
