I was late in applying for birth certificate, was waiting for online services to come into effect.
But a travel plan came up and had to go for passport application for my 10 month old daughter.
The person at the bommasandra panchayat office asked me to visit another office at anekal (By my understanding that is supposed to be after an year of birth). I tried reasoning with him that it shouldn't be the case but couldn't get through him.
As usual i did not have the luxury of time nor the hope that i will get any results in anekal office so agreed to pay "extra" for the convenience. I have a bad feeling about encouraging the concept and regret my approach even today.
