I have written a complaint about this an year back in a complaint box I found in Majestic (Kempegowda) Bus station.
Details of the Bribe:
I had to travel to for an year, through Marathahalli for office located in Kundallhalli gate. I paid Rs 5.00 more than 200 times during the time I traveled by bus.. NEVER .. NEVER got a ticket..
If I asked for a ticket I had to pay 7.00 OR 8.00 OR 10.00.. This is not a fixed amount.. It always varied from bus to bus
This was:
1. from Raagi gutta to Silkboard. (Sometimes I got a ticket by paying what ever was asked by the driver OR conductor.. I paid the extra amount asked)
2. Marathahalli to Kundalahalli Gate.(I never got neither a ticket nor change in this route)
Most of the time this was in buses without a conductor (single door) and also many time even when there was a conductor..
So I solved my problem.. I took a bike..
I DINT GO GREEN, IN THE GARDEN CITY.
What about the other bangaloreans that travel accross bangalore?? This is a most common thing I have seen in buses, when I travel short distances..
DO PEOPLE TRAVELLING SHORT DISTANCES DONOT NEED TICKETS...?
Then who are we paying?
