Bribe for 3 phase electricity connection
As we had frequent powercuts,we decided to go for 3 phase electricity connection. Govt rate is Rs.7500 to get the 3 phase connection. An employee of the Electricity office spoke with my father and told him I will take care of everything and you will get the connection in 10 days. And he asked for Rs.15000,as my father was sick and old and as we (his children) were out of station on job assignments, he agreed for it,as everything was done at door step(The electricity board employee came home and got the application signed from my father).My father had a fear that If we don't bribe then they may delay electricity supply and continue to harass us with frequent power cuts.
