My vehicle is from Gujarat, and I live in Pune. I lost my RC book, and needed a FIR to issue a new one. The police initially refused to issue an FIR stating that my vehicle was from a different state so they wont issue an FIR without a self declaration on stamp paper which was notarized. And they immediately also gave me a solution that if I paid Rs.500 then they would 'Trust' me and issue a FIR.
