I was travelling from gorakhpur to bangalore. My PNR status was RAC 13 before chart preparation so i got a half berth, i knew my ticket will be confirmed on the way. After crossing Lucknow a TTE came and called my name, he asked me "Do you want a berth?" obviously i said yes and then he asked for "seva" (bribe) he asked for 300 rupees, i asked for a discount as i was a student and i even told him my RAC was just 13 before chart preparation. He didn't listen and asked another question "Do you want a berth or shall i give it to others?". I handed him 300 rupees. I had to spend 2 nights on the train so i didn't have other options. I knew my ticket has been confirmed because same thing happen earlier also at that time TTE didn't asked for "seva"(bribe). I knew how RAC ticket used to get confirmed on long route, I was having a doubt if i didn't pay this TTE his seva he will sell my berth to some others and i have to spend 54 hours journey on half berth.
