I wasn't asked directly to bribe. But I met an agent who said the my airtel post paid bill won't serve as residence proof as it is a private company. I gave him 600Rs and he put a tick with pencil on my form. The police officer didn't bothered to verify anything once he noticed the pencil-tick mark on the form. Another official who was issuing temporary license and taking snaps from web cam, asked me to stand and block his monitor's view from the people standing in the queue and gave the test himself in a minute. After a month I met another agent for permanent license, he asked me if I could drive car(I said yes) and took Rs750 along with filled form. After sometime he sent me with a man who told me number of the vehicle(maruti - 800) I'll need to drive for test. The police officials sitting in the observation room asked me the number of vehicle I'll be driving and when I told them the number, no questions were asked. I drove the vehicle and got the receipt. The license was received at home in 2 weeks.
