Bribe to get new electricity meter

I paid 500rs as bribe to get a new electricity meter connection in Velachery chennai. The shameful thing is that TN already is reeling under power supply crisis but still TNEB has no shame in demanding bribe. Can the electricity boards be not privatised and these corrupt ********** are left out in streets without Job....when will these corrupt institutions be privatised?
