Bribe Given Even with All proper Documents
I have recently started business of Importing Goods from Outside Countries and sell here in India Market.
I imported a shipment with mini pcs. In the shipment there was a single mini pc which has option to connect to any wifi etc. Customs just stopped me over this silly issue and asked to get the certificate from Environmental and other engineers that this will not create any problems in the spectrum of India. I just wanted to ask that almost every mobile in India is having wifi receiver so does that means there is some problem in their mobiles !!!
After a long discussion my shipping agent told me that this is JUST AN EXCUSE and custom officer actually wants bribe. My whole shipment of 50 Mini PCs was stuck just because of a single wifi Model!!! First Customs Officer asked for 10,000 and then after lots of request he agreed 7500 in cash paid to his subordinate outside the office.
