In the year 1999 we hade taken my aunty for treatment to VSS medical College Burla . One surgon told us she need to be operated for diognosis. In those days colonoscopy, endoscopy or scanning were not availabe. He also demanded Rs5000/- . Fortunately one of my uncle who earlier was working in the college told us to take her to another surgon known to him. That Gentleman Doctor get shocked after hearing the incident. Then asked us to bring my aunty on the day when he was having outdoor duty so that he can admit and operate her as an urgent case. He was afraid also because other surgon was his boss. On the day when she was going to be operated the Anesthesia Doctor came to me and make meunderstand that my aunts condition is in very bad state and she could die while giving anesthesia. When I told that we are prepared for anything and as such she is dying everyday. Than he hand over me a prescription for medicie. I went down to medical store and purchased some medicine for around Rs650/-. In the mean while my elder brother push Rs200/- to the ansthesologist. On my return the same anesthesologist told me " sorry sorry brother I was on hurry and gave you wrong prescription please change the medicine" and hand over me a fresh prescription. Won't beleive the cost medicine reduced to Rs125/- only.
