I was not well during my PU exams and couldn't perform well. I ended up with poor marks and my CET rank meant that I had to pick some low degree in some unknown college far from Bangalore. I had never lived away from home and wanted to study Computer Science. A family friend sold us the idea of getting a fake caste certificate to get through reservation category. He said he had some contacts and could get it done even though ours was a forward caste and I am fair looking. We weren't prepared for what was coming. We were asked for bribes at every step of the way, from getting an application form to providing witnesses to processing the certification. That was when I realised how corrupt the system is, but finally we got the certificate and i got a seat in top engineering college in Bangalore. I am now a proud software engineer in a MNC, but that bribe experience has left a scar on me. I support this movement, we should remove bribery from society.
